Our investment director Kate Cook recently spoke to the Corporate Financier about her career so far, working in the PE industry, August Equity’s unique culture and the challenges that she faces being on the board of a portfolio company.
When asked about her first investment at August, she replied:
“In 2015 we brought together three veterinary businesses to form a new veterinary group, VetPartners.
We expanded rapidly, making more than 100 acquisitions and growing from 33 to over 300 veterinary sites. Revenue increased from £12m to £250m – plus in less than three years… VetPartners became one of the leading veterinary groups across the UK.”
